Hello and welcome! I’m Valda, and I’m so glad you’re here.

So here I am, starting a blog. This blog is my little corner of the internet where I share my love for books, honest reviews, recommendations, and all the bookish thoughts in between. Living here in the Caribbean gives you plenty of quiet time to read, especially when you need to escape from everything else going on. Books don’t judge your reading pace, and they’re always there when you need them.

I read everything. Romance that makes you believe in love again, mysteries that keep you guessing until the very last page, literary fiction that sits heavy on your chest for days after you finish it. Fantasy worlds I wish I could disappear into, memoirs that make you feel less alone, and yes, even those beach reads that everyone pretends they don’t enjoy but secretly devour in one sitting.

On this blog, you can expect honest and thoughtful book reviews, recommendations to suit every mood, and occasional musings on whatever I’m currently obsessing over. What you won’t find here are spoilers without warning, or me pretending every book is amazing just because. Some books are terrible, but a book I think maybe terrible maybe one of your favorites and that’s okay.
